What did I be taught within the desert?
To resign to really feel it’s scorching breath on my neck,to map the sweat blooming and gathering behind my ear, traverse tiny new ponds on my nostril,a brand new cartography,to be current with the dilemmas.
The questions are the car, the spinning wheels, the engine
we’re,practically 8 billion of us, waitinghand-in-hand with our twinkling possibly heirsat a gathering place within the highway
A parting— in a single route – ambition, our shoulders steeled to bear a steep hill,
the opposite — resignation, shoulders at ears, the gradual climb
Will we experience invention in direction of the sting of our creativeness?or wait right here, persevering with to place our cash in a gap within the groundwilling a metallic tree to bloomthere to distract us from the elevating temps the waters bouncing at our anklesthe kids’s bellies swellingfires wild, unstoppable, fields cracking in each route
They don’t see these on the entrance of the group, refused to have a look at their cheeks, their wanting glass eyes,Refuse to hear and believeThose lifted off their ft, pushed in direction of the road. The entrance liners aren’t those who get to make the selection of this manner or that. their our bodies purpling with bruises, weatheringthe storms.
Isn’t it higher to go in the best way of possibilityand depart the inevitability of demise to shrink behind us?Even when its scaryEven if the best way isn’t clear?Isn’t it prudent to apply the stretch of goals in direction of liferather than shut our eyes and maintain on to our fragile buoyancy?
Questions are stuffed in my baggage like souvenirs.Awe on the labor of hard-fought settlement, the gorgeous, gradual choreographywith and round our difficult relationships, with and across the damage, the accountability, the neglect, the genius, the stolen, the stolen geniusthe mixing, the separation, the open palms, the slaps, the aloofness, the attention contact.and lack. And abundance.
